Update project status and progress

Status, timeline posts, photos, and next visit from the field.

Keep clients informed from the field by updating status, posting timeline notes, and attaching progress files. Changes appear on the same portal link after you save.

Open the project

From your project list or calendar, open the job you are working on. Status options match that project's industry program, not only your account default.

Update status

Use the status control on the project detail screen. Pick a label valid for the program—for example In Progress for field trades or Paint for Restoration Tracker.

Post a timeline update

Optional customer-visible timeline posts give clients a headline and short details between status changes. They appear in the portal updates section.

Add photos and files

Attach progress photos, quotes, generated PDFs, or other supported types from the files area. Uploaded items appear on the portal when the file type is customer-facing for that program.

Set next visit or milestone

Update next visit (or milestone date for restoration/training programs) and any customer-safe summary fields. Clients see these prominently on the portal.

Save and notify

After saving, use Update your client to send a short message through WhatsApp, Messages, or Mail. See Notify your client.
