Import from Photos, Files, or WhatsApp

Save shared content and attach it to a project.

Use the Handysuite share extension to save photos, PDFs, Files items, or exported WhatsApp chats into a project—without leaving your flow in Photos, Files, or WhatsApp.

Save from another app

  1. In Photos, Files, WhatsApp, or another app, tap Share.
  2. Choose Handysuite.
  3. Review the summary in the extension dialog.
  4. Tap Save to Handysuite — nothing is committed until this step.

WhatsApp chat exports arrive as a .zip (with or without media). The extension unpacks the transcript and attachments for review in the main app.

Finish in Handysuite

Open the app (or tap Open if the extension offers it). The Import sheet lets you:

  • Attach to an existing project, or
  • Create a new project (Smart Intake may prefill fields from chat text)

For each image you can choose Attach (file only) or Read text (OCR for business cards, bills, etc.).

After import

  • New project — you land on the project detail screen; share the portal link when it is ready.
  • Existing project — files attach to the project you selected; portal link unchanged.

Signed out

You can still Save in the extension. When you open the app, sign in—the pending import appears after authentication.

Tips

  • Cancel before Save — discards the staged import; nothing is written.
  • WhatsApp often cannot switch apps automatically—tap Done, then open Handysuite from the Home Screen; your import is already saved.
  • For OCR, use a clear photo; unreadable images attach as files only with a warning.
