Notify your client after an update

Use WhatsApp, Messages, or Mail from your own apps.

After you save a change on a project, Handysuite can help you nudge your client with a short message and the portal link. Sending is always manual from your own apps—there is no server-side SMS or WhatsApp from Handysuite.

When it appears

After you update status, next visit, or post a timeline update, iOS may show Update your client with a generated message.

What the message contains

The text summarizes what changed and ends with your portal link. Photos, PDFs, and files stay on the portal—the chat message is only a pointer, not attachments.

Channels

Choose one:

  • WhatsApp — opens WhatsApp with the client’s number and message prefilled (you tap Send)
  • Messages — opens Messages the same way
  • Mail — opens Mail when the project has a client email
  • Copy — copies the message to the clipboard
  • Share — system share sheet

For WhatsApp or Messages, the client phone on the project must be a valid international number (country code + number). The app checks this when you save contact details.

Requirements

  • Portal link ready — project synced online with a public token
  • Phone in E.164 format for WhatsApp or Messages
  • Email on the project for Mail

If a channel is disabled, add or fix client contact on the project, then try again.

Siri and automatic sending

Status updates from Siri or Shortcuts update the portal but do not open this share flow. Change status in the app when you want the usual Update your client prompt.
