Quotes and change orders
Issue a fixed scope and price your client can accept or decline.
Quotes & changes records a fixed scope, price, and terms your client can accept or decline on the portal. It is separate from a quote PDF you attach as a file.
Before you issue
- Turn Client portal access on for the project.
- Save the client’s email in Private info. Handysuite sends a six-digit code to that address when they respond. The address is not shown on the portal.
- Open the project and choose Quotes & changes.
A draft stays on this device until you issue it. It is not on the portal.
Issue a version
Tap New quote (or Continue draft if you already started one). Enter:
- Title
- Full scope, inclusions, and exclusions
- A three-letter currency code and the amount
- Tax, payment, timing, and other terms
- Valid until (within 90 days)
Tap Review version, then Show this version on the portal.
Issuing does not take payment, change the job status, or message your client. Share the portal link yourself so they can respond.
Later versions
- While a version is still waiting, New version replaces that unanswered version. Your client can no longer accept the older one. Accepted versions stay.
- After a quote is accepted, the next issue is a change order for additional cost. The accepted quote stays accepted.
- Withdraw this version removes a waiting version from the portal.
Issued versions lists each revision, amount, and response (accepted or declined, with the name and time). Email verification is recorded in the app. The verification address stays private.
