Create a project and share the portal link
Start a job, sync online, and send your client the link.
Every project gets a unique portal link. That URL is how your client views status and files without an account.
Create a project
- Tap Create (or use Smart Intake / share import).
- Confirm the industry program and enter client name and project title.
- Set status, optional customer-facing summary fields, and next visit if you know it.
- Save the project.
You can attach quotes, photos, contracts, and other files from the project detail screen after creation.
Free plan note
New project creation may be limited on the free plan. See Subscription and billing. Projects you already created remain on your account.
When is the portal link ready?
The shareable link appears after the project is fully saved to your account online. If you see “link not ready”:
- Confirm you are signed in and connected.
- Wait for sync to finish, then open the project again.
The link does not change when you edit the project—it stays the same URL for that project’s lifetime.
Share the link
On the project detail screen:
- Copy — paste into any app
- Share — system share sheet (WhatsApp, Messages, Mail, etc.)

Nothing is sent until you share. The app does not message your client on its own.

Resend the same link
If a client loses the thread, send the same URL again. Resending does not create a new portal or reset their view.
From the project list
Open any project from your list to copy or share its portal link from the detail screen. See also Notify your client after an update for post-update messages.
